Kai with his aunt Ivana and uncle Bryce
Our baby gets a kiss from a calf at the Tunbridge World's Fair. Kai's aunt Annabel & Cousin Aldwyn are in on the action.
Kai LOVED all the animals at the fair!
With our friends Pat Stier and Joost Elfers and Annabel & Aldwyn. (Yes the cousins are wearing the same shirt. No it was not planned)

With April's childhood friend Julia and her mom Renate.
It's hard to beat a walk around the farm this time of year!
April:

Hi folks! Well Zach is off playing the Killington Mountain School annual golf tournament, Kai is taking his morning nap, and I am sitting here with my cup of tea looking out at the most beautiful farm in the world and there is not a cloud in the sky! There are however a lot of antique airplanes flying very low over our hay meadow, it's pretty cool.  As you can probably tell, life is great!

The picture above was taken a few days ago and, as you can see in the distance, the leaves are starting to turn. They are turning faster now and we are going to have a BEAUTIFUL fall. The weather these last 2 weeks has been incredible and I heard that today it is supposed to get into the 80's. Gotta love those Indian summers!

This last week has been filled with family, friends and new activities for Kai. It started with a visit from our friends Mark and Kipp, the newlyweds (we forgot to get a picture of them with Kai). They were married while we were in Kaz, and we were so sorry to miss their wedding. It was great to see them here though. Then Zach's brother Bryce and his wife Ivana came up from Brooklyn for a couple of days. We had a great time and Kai adored them. It was so funny when Bryce walked in, Kai got really excited because he looks so much like Zach.

Then on Saturday afternoon (after it had rained all night and morning) the sun came out so we went to the Tunbridge World's Fair where we met my sister Annabel, my nephew Aldwyn, and our dear friends Pat Stier and Joost Elfers who came from New York to see Kai (loaded with presents I might add. He is now the best dressed kid in Vermont). The fair was so much fun, as always, but it was extra special to be there with our son!

Mom came back from Los Angeles on Sunday and came right down to see her newest grandson. I have to brag a little. She was out there putting up some of her work at the Getty Museum! She is so cool!

Let's see, what else. We went apple picking with the local play-group on Monday. On Tuesday we went up to Stowe to see my mom and sister and also for Kai to meet his godmother Genevieve and her kids. Genevieve's daughter Caitlin is my goddaughter which is so fun. We got hilarious video footage of Kai and his cousin Aldwyn together. They are really fascinated by eachother.

Then Zach's mom came up on Wednesday and she and Kai had a great time bonding. She and Stefanie made us the most beautiful quilt, I'll have to get a picture of that for next time.

We have been hiking everyday with the dogs (who love the baby) and are generally trying to get Kai on a schedule so he can really relax into being here.

He is such a happy baby! He sleeps 10-11 hours a night (I still go in and give him a bottle in the middle of the night) and takes good long naps during the day. He has put on almost 2 lbs in the last 2 weeks!  He LOVES playing in the bath, he loves meeting new people, he loves his daddy and he loves to be cuddled. He is an absolute joy to be around. Yes, he does cry, and it is really impressive how much sound can come out of that little body! But for the most part, he is a laughing, babbling, bouncing baby boy. He is starting to crawl and we are sure he will pull himself to standing before too long.

We are a very happy family, and we are grateful!
