Well she's ours!!!! We had a great and easy court-date. When we went to go pick Grace up, the Babyhouse director said that the staff wanted to share tea with us. This was a real treat as they don't do this with other families, just the playground people. It hit home again how special it was for them that we brought Kai back and that they really wanted us to know how happy they are about it. The director made speech after speech about how happy they were to see us again and how grateful they are for all that adoptive parents do for them. We told them how grateful we are to them for the excellent care the children get here and how proud we are to be the parents of Kazakh born children. Basically, it was a meeting of the mutual admiration society. We were very touched as "tea" turned out to be a huge lunch complete with champagne. Tomorrow we go back to give the gifts we brought for the staff.
Grace did great back here and so did Kai. She didn't take much of a nap but she ate well and went down fairly easily for the night. We will see how the night goes. Kai has been great and thinks it is kind of fun to have her here. I'm sure he'll change his tune in a few days once he realizes she is staying. For now we are grateful and exhausted. We have 2 sweet children, bathed and smelling sweet tucked into their beds dreaming away. We are very lucky people!!
