April:
Happy New Year everybody! I hope your holidays were as wonderful as ours. We spent a week at my mom's in Stowe and then 4 days with Zach's family in western Vermont. Kai was wonderful and had a great time, although I think he found it exhausting because he was napping more than ever. He didn't sleep through the night too well, but was in wonderful spirits during the days. He is a very social baby. I realized that he isn't smiling in any of the pictures above, and that's because we can only get pictures of him now when he is either being held, or is strapped into a high chair. He is too mobile otherwise. Most of our Christmas pictures are just of this cute blur streaking across the frame!
He can string 4-6 wobbly steps together now and is really understanding what we are saying to him. He has become even more affectionate (I didn't think that was possible) and, now that we are home, is sleeping all the way through the night. Hallelujah!!!
We are LOVING parenthood! It has really brought Zach and I even closer together than before. Kai is such a wonderful person. We are totally absorbed by him and what he does during his days. We must say "He is SOOOO AMAZING!!!!" at least 100 times a day.
We are headed into real winter soon (if it ever snows again) and things will be mellowing out for a while. We will post again in the next month or so and hopefully get some shots of Kai enjoying the beauty that is (usually) a Vermont winter!
Cheers!
