Hi all,
Sorry it has been a while, ,and these pictures aren't even all that up to date. Oh well, the kiddos are keeping us busy. Also, we are moving! Up to Waterbury to be closer to family. We found an amazing house and will be moving the first week in July. This means that I will probably be heading back to school in a little while here for my masters. I have had my eye on the Community Development and Applied Economics program at UVM for a while. I can blend my love of environmental work and sustainable development with economics. Very cool. Of course we want more kids so who knows when this will all happen. It's a good life when you are so busy doing things you love that you don't have time to be bored.
We just got back from New York last night where we saw lots of family. My mom was honored at the Kitchen for her years of work there. It's a performance art space that really supports innovative and interesting dancers, muscicians and other performance artists. It was a star studded gala attended by people like the lead singer from the B-52'a and Chelsea Clinton. Philip Glass and Laurie Anderson were the mc's and Lou Reed performed. I mean really, who the hell has Lou Reed play at their party? My mom, that's who. She's so cool. She is moving permanently to Stowe, which is one of the reasons we are moving up to Waterbury, to be closer to grandma and Big Pa (as Polly is called).
Both kids are talking up a storm, eating us out of house and home and learning new and daring physical feats everyday. Kai is going to be an amazing climber and a great boater if his mama and his god-father have any say in it. Grace is a swimmer. I keep looking for her gills.
Zach went fishing on the Green in Utah with the "boys" and had a great time. Lots of fish, beautiful landscape. The kids and I hung at home and played. Zach is moving lots of instruments and his cellos in particular are simply beautiful.
And the biggest news is that we have a new nephew! Merek Daniel Motley was born May 29th to my youngest brother (Polly's youngest son) Morgan and his girlfriend Mariah. All are doing well and we are thrilled to have another cousin for Kai and Grace.
Basically just wanted to post a few new pictures and let everyone know that we are healthy, happy and oh, so in love with our little ones. They continue to amaze us and they adore each other. We are so lucky. This is the most amazing little family. We have been saying that everyday for a couple of years now. Zach and I just can't believe that we get to parent these amazing people, be with each other and live such an incredible life.
Take care!
