My sisiter-in-law took the series above in NYC in May of 2006 (Wow did we slack on this site a long time!). We were there supporting my mom who was being honored by The Kitchen. I am deeply hung over in these pictures (you should've seen Zach and my mom, I was looking good in comparison.) but the kids seem in good form.
I took the kids to Austria in January to see my dad. Yes, I went alone. No, I'm not crazy. No, they didn't throw tantrums the whole way. They fly all the time and were awesome. Slept the whole way. It was a great trip.
Ok, so that's enough pictures for now. We will start posting more regularly from now on. here are some more highlights from 2006-March of 2007.
1. We moved! We sold our beloved farm and moved back up to Waterbury to be closer to my family. That part is awesome, being closer to childhood friends is awesome. We deeply, profoundly and desperately miss our farm. We deeply miss our friends from East Corinth (although the majority of them moved to. It was a weird mass exodus.) We regret and celebrate the decision in turn on a daily basis. In short, we are conflicted.
2. Zach & I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary at the end of June. Then sometime in the winter we realized we had been together 10 years. A DECADE! We, of course, have no idea what the actual date is, since at the time we both thought we were just "hooking up." Had we known that this precipitous event would lead to the creation of an entire life and family together, we might have paid a little closer attention. But then again, knowing us, probably not.
3. We are adopting again. From Ethiopia. An infant of either gender. The paperwork is in and we are in for the 10-12 month wait for a referral. That will fly by with the terror duo here to keep us busy.
4. Zach's brother Bryce and his wife Ivana are going to have another baby boy any minute now.
5. My dad was diagnosed and successfully treated for stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He's in great shape now. Prognosis is good.
6. Mom sold her place in New York and is in Vermont full-time, much to the delight of her grandchildren and their exhausted mothers4.
There's probably more, but my mind is fried from up-loading pictures. So that's all you get for now. We'll be back soon though. Stay tuned.
